Geppetto, Pinocchio and Azure Fairy

Pinocchio is the first piece with carved facial features that Xenis has designed.  Pinocchio stands approximately 16"  tall with 13 moveable joints and has an 18 note musical movement playing "Glockenspiel-The Magic Flute"  

Fashioned after the traditional European Pinocchio, his outfit includes suede shorts, a linen shirt and a wool vest and hat.  Very light washes of paint were used to allow the beauty of the wood to show through.

Geppetto  stands 24” in height and is limited to 350 pieces.  His head, hands and shoes are carved from Western maple and his body is made from basswood.  He has 13 moveable joints that can be positioned in a variety of ways.  His shoes are stained to give them a rustic look.  His hair is stained brown and light washes of paint were used on his face to allow the beauty of the wood to show through.   Geppetto wears a cream linen shirt, black wool pants, a jacquard cummerbund and a beautiful leather apron.  He comes with a small wooden toolbox.
