Porcelain Bisque, 28
inches
Nastassia's costume is designed by Basia Zarzycka
She is wearing an evening dress and a beautiful coat, both sewn in
several meters of a gorgeous metallic lace of Calais from Solstiss.
Nastassia is sculpted from head to foot in a completely new and exclusive material, which
is very delicate and reproduces the luminosity and transparency of skin: "Lumicire". This material is worked in
the same way as porcelain bisque, it must be cast and polished carefully by hand. The face is painted by hand with
oil-based paint before a fixative is applied. It should be noted that this new material must be handled with as much care
as porcelain, for it is just as fragile... but, like porcelain, it keeps its shape
This lace is embroidered with small flowers made of fabric and plenty iridescent Swarovski
crystal strass.

Her hair is tied back with flowers made of glass beads, as well as the small bouquet she is holding in her
hand Basia Zarzycka graduated from
the university of London (Goldsmith's College) with a BA (Hons) in embroidery and textiles, and then went on to gain her
Master of Arts (Fashion & Constructed Textiles) from Birmingham, her home town. Her shop opened four years ago, and she
designs for clients ranging from foreign royalty to international pop stars and some of the biggest names in Hollywood.
Basia Zarzycka's designs bring to life the forgotten traditions of the past and create wonderful fantasies which evoke
memories of a golden age of opulence. Basia Zarzycka runs a couture wedding gown business from her shop on the King's Road
in Chelsea, London. Basia has a six-month waiting list.
